Want Our Pets To Visit You?
Our fully trained pet and people visitors go to
health day care centres, residential facilities, hospitals, aged
care hostels,
retirement homes
and we visit individuals at home.
It is our policy to match a pets as therapy visitor and pet, with
the challenges and requirements of the residents or individual as
much as possible.
Our visits last one hour. After an hour, the pets usually start
to feel a little tired, after all those cuddles, kisses and play.
If you require on-going visits, you will be assigned the same person
and pet visitors each visit, where possible.
We currently have dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes, rabbits,
guinea pigs, cats and pet rats. All pets are fully assessed by a
veterinarian for healthiness, temperament, personality, gentleness,
friendliness and if a dog, obedience specific to pets as therapy
for safe interaction. People and pet visitors receive ongoing training
and assessments.
For a one-time visit our fee is $49.50. Discounts are available
when paying for 5 visits in advance. We are a self-funding program
and this fee contributes towardsl our operational costs including
the ongoing training of people and pets, Public Liability Insurance
for our people and pet visitors and to occasionally buy pets from
pounds who we can train for pet therapy. (Fees quoted are in Australian
dollars).
We offer the most professinal
pets as therapy program in Australia and our people and pet visitors
are the most specifically trained. We maintain a high standard of
service with strict health and safety procedures that ensure our
visits are safe, highly beneficial, rewarding and fun!
